Privacy Policy

Hydrate: Water Coach is designed as a local-first hydration utility. This policy explains what information the app may process and how that information is used.

Information Processed by the App

• Hydration records: Drink amounts, drink types, timestamps, notes, daily goals, streaks, achievements, and related summaries.
• Preferences: Units, quick-add amounts, reminder settings, theme choices, calibration inputs, and onboarding state.
• Apple Health data: If you grant permission, the app can read and write water and caffeine entries. Workout-aware recommendations can read workout data when enabled.
• Location and weather: If you enable weather-aware recommendations, location may be used to request local weather conditions for hydration adjustment.
• Purchase status: StoreKit is used to determine whether you have active access through a subscription or lifetime purchase.

How Information Is Used

The app uses this information to show daily progress, calibrate goals, schedule reminders, produce reports, restore purchases, sync optional Apple Health records, and export data when you request it.

Storage and Sharing

Hydration records are stored locally on your device. The app does not sell personal data and does not include advertising SDKs. Data leaves the device only when you choose to export it, write selected records to Apple Health, or use a system service that you enable.

Apple Health

Apple Health access is optional. You control Health permissions in iOS Settings and may revoke them at any time. Health data is used only for hydration, caffeine, and workout-aware features.

Notifications

Reminder notifications are optional. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings. Smart reminder logic runs on device and uses your local progress and preferences.

Data Deletion

You can delete app data from inside Hydrate where deletion tools are available, or by deleting the app from your device. Apple Health records are managed separately through Apple Health.

Children

The app is a general wellness utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
