Getting Started

How do I set my hydration goal?

Open Settings and use the goal calculator or enter a custom daily target. The coach can recommend a target using body mass, activity, climate, weather, workout, and caffeine context.

Can I undo a mistaken entry?

Use the undo banner immediately after logging or remove the record from History. Entries linked to caffeine estimates are cleaned up with the hydration entry.

Can I change units and quick-add amounts?

Yes. Open Settings to choose milliliters, ounces, cups, or liters, then adjust the quick-add presets to match your bottles or cups.

Reminders and Notifications

Why am I not receiving reminders?

Check notification permission in iOS Settings, confirm reminders are enabled inside Hydrate, review the reminder time window, and check whether a Focus mode is blocking alerts.

How do smart reminders work?

Smart reminders consider your progress, recent logging patterns, quiet hours, Focus state, snooze, and skipped reminders. They are designed to reduce unnecessary alerts when you are already on track.

Apple Watch, Widgets, and Health

How do I use the Apple Watch app?

Install Hydrate on Apple Watch through the Watch app. Quick-add entries sync with iPhone through shared app group data and Watch Connectivity.

How do I connect Apple Health?

Enable Apple Health from Settings inside Hydrate, then grant the requested iOS permissions. You can change access later in iOS Settings under Health and Data Access.

How do widgets and shortcuts work?

Hydrate supports widgets, App Intents, and Siri shortcuts for faster logging and status checks where supported by the device and iOS version.

Subscription and Billing

What access options are available?

Hydrate offers monthly, yearly, and lifetime access. Monthly and yearly plans include a 7-day trial when eligible. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no trial.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iOS Settings, tap your Apple ID, choose Subscriptions, select Hydrate, and cancel before the renewal deadline shown by Apple.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Hydrate, go to the purchase or settings area, and choose Restore Purchases. This restores active subscriptions and lifetime access associated with the same Apple ID.

Data and Export

Where is my data stored?

Hydration data is stored locally on your device. Optional Apple Health records are managed by Apple Health. Export tools can produce CSV, JSON, or PDF files when you need a personal copy.

How do I delete data?

Use deletion tools inside Hydrate where available, or delete the app to remove local app data. Apple Health data can be reviewed and deleted from the Health app.
